Paris Hilton Birthday Cake Stolen And Donated To Homeless Shelter
You’ve heard of robbing the rich to fed the poor, but even Robin Hood couldn’t deliver a deal this sweet.
Paris Hilton’s 30th birthday celebration hit a snag last weekend when the heiress’ three-tier birthday cake was mysteriously stolen — only to reappear days later in the form of a donation to the homeless.
The $3,000 treat was swiped from Hilton’s B-Day bash after the heiress blew out the candles, but before anyone got the chance to take a bite of the treat. The cake thief, who identifies himself as “Paz,” documented the cake’s ongoing adventures with a series of pictures and posts uploaded to Facebook this week.
“It’s big. It’s red. It says ‘Paris’. And it’s fucking delicious,” Paz wrote the morning after the party.
Days later, the cake re-appeared on the gritty streets of Downtown Los Angeles, satisfying the sweet-teeth of scores of hungry street dwellers.
“It’s been a surreal last few days. 12,560 news articles, 322 television segments, 147 interview requests … The cake took on a life of its own … Fearing for my personal safety, I decided it was time for the infamous dessert and I to make one final journey,” Paz added.
“Travelling southbound on the 101 freeway, we wound our way to LA’s infamous skid row. It was here that the saga of the purloined pastry was destined to reach its tasty conclusion.”
