Socialite Paris Hilton hit the roof after bodyguards discovered a secret recording device — equipped to document her every move — planted in her private hotel suite in Dubai last week.

The heiress to the billion dollar Hilton Hotel empire is currently in the conservative Middle Eastern filming her upcoming reality series Paris Hilton’s Dubai BFF.

“It was some sort of transmitter by all accounts,” The Daily Express is reporting. “We’re not sure what the device picked up or whom it was transmitting to. But it did leave Paris very jittery.”

A tattle dishes, “Everyone she has come into contact with during her stay in Dubai has been fantastic and gracious. We’ve been told there are some quarters where there is anti-American feeling.”
Security for the 28-year-old has been beefed up during filming on the new show.

“Paris’s security has been increased and hotel staff are investigating how the device came to be in her room,” the source added.
