Bubbly from a bubblehead. Serial celebrity peddler Paris Hilton has launched her own line of champagne, called Rich Prosecco. Here’s a shot of the heiress in the canned bubbly’s forthcoming international ad campaign. (Hmmmm, we’d like it better if she kept her clothes on.) What do you think of the ad? Ms. Hilton invented nothing here…this is neither her wine, (bad though it is), nor did she invent Prosecco. Prosecco is a 300+ year old grape from northern Italy and an area, or town, known for having taking this grape and crafted a new method of fermentation that results in the “bubbles” as an alternative to Champagne or methode champenoise - the proper way to refer to sparkling wine not grown in Champagne. This is a German product, (http://www.richprosecco.com/), and it should be noted that they defile the term Prosecco…try some of the real Prosecco this NYE and enjoy it…without Ms. Hilton.
