Nicole Richie resting comfortably in her Los Angeles home after being hospitalized with pneumonia last week. The socialite-turned-supermom checked herself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after struggling to shake off what she thought was a cold.
Several days after her release, Nicole’s still working to get her health back on track – but she credits the support of her fans with helping her through the rough patch.

Taking to her online blog Tuesday, Nicole wrote: “Right now it’s important for me to stay in bed and recover. Reading all of your messages on Twitter and my website has really brightened my spirits and I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you a happy Thanksgiving. I’d like to thank you all for the kind words and well wishes over the past few weeks.”

Google has purchased online ads in an effort to explain why the most popular Google Image search result for First Lady Michelle Obama is a racist picture in which her face is depicted as a monkey.
The racist image was previously removed by Google on the grounds that the site hosting it “violated Google’s guidelines by serving malware to visitors.” Now, however, the offensive photo has been posted to another site that does not violate Google’s rules.
The Google ad, titled “Offensive Search Results,” appears directly over the offensive picture of Mrs. Obama and reads: “Sometimes our search results can be offensive. We agree.” There’s then a longer explanation outlining why certain search results appear and why they may be so highly ranked.
“Sometimes Google search results from the Internet can include disturbing content, even from innocuous queries. We assure you that the views expressed by such sites are not in any way endorsed by Google. [...] We apologize if you’ve had an upsetting experience using Google. We hope you understand our position regarding offensive results.” [Read the full explanation here.]

Michael Lohan leaked nearly a dozen taped recordings of phone calls he’d had with and about his daughter in a last-ditch bid to get her to enter rehab and kick what he calls “an addiction to prescription drugs.”

Michael has agreed not to leak any additional recordings — as long as Lindsay stays in counseling, a source divulged on the pages of the Dec. 7 issue of Life & Style Magazine:
“She goes two, sometimes three times a week. This is not a program or substance-abuse counsellor or police officer watching over her; it’s someone to talk to in a confidential state.”
The source continued, “She knows, and everyone knows, this is a huge stepping-stone for her – get in there, talk to someone, figure out what’s going on and then try to fix it. First comes the diagnosis.”
