Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag appear to be one step closer to splitsville following several reports that Montag filed for legal separation from her husband. According to several sources, Heidi, 23, has started legal proceedings in Santa Monica for a separation from an increasingly-unstable Spencer, 26. According to PEOPLE.com, the filing will make Montag’s earnings solely her own.
Montag and Pratt married in Mexico on Nov. 20, 2008.
