Celebrity informants report that actor Owen Wilson, who reportedly attempted suicide on Sunday night, has a long-spanning history of depression that flared up following the funnyman’s recent split from former co-star Kate Hudson. By the looks of this, Kate’s just as torn up over the end of love affair with Owen.
Friends of the actor tell the press that the star “fell into a funk” after the breakup.. “In fact, we weren’t even sure if that’s why he seemed kind of down, because he just didn’t open up,” says tattle. “But we assumed it was part of whatever he was dealing with, because that’s when he seemed to kind of change.” “He’s been basically MIA all summer long.”
The actor spent time in rehab at Hazelden treatment facility in Minnesota seven years ago.
