Orlando Bloom Leaving “Pirates Of The Caribbean” Franchise
Orlando Bloom has reportedly turned down the chance to appear in a fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
The actor, who played blacksmith Will Turner in the Disney saga, has told producers that he is ready to move on from the series after appearing in the first three box office blockbusters.
Speaking to News Of The World, a source said: “Orlando loved the films but thinks it’s time to bow out because they tied up nicely for his character. The producers are okay with that because they want to concentrate on the new adventures of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow.”
Earlier this year, Keira Knightley announced that she will not be returning to the hit franchise to reprise her role as Elizabeth Swann, insisting her “pirating days are over.”

What a short sighted fool! His most entertaining series of work that people will be replaying 50 years from now and he wants to be the big Hollywood ego and refuse the work? He and Knightley have forgotten that this is a career they have chosen and not a hobby. You get very few chance to reprise roles and even fewer to make a lot of money reprising the roles. Five years from now he’ll be missing the money he could have made because Miranda will be taking half of everything.

I’m not spending my money on POTC without Will Turner/Orlando Bloom. I know many people who’ll do the same.
I think the prods decided to ruin totally my fav POTC movies. I don’t care about Depp/Sparrow – he can chase that ship forever and still be boring.
Horrible news.
