The problem is that most people do not respect the bible anymore. What is really confusing is why anyone would listen to Oprah as she is an acknowledged atheist. If this female was being obedient to her man, she would not have been beat. As the man is the head of the faith, as designated by God, he has not only the right but also the responsibility to discipline his women. If this “lady” does not like to be disciplined, maybe she should repent of her sins and take stock of her treacherous ways before she is condemned to the fiery damnation that awaits those who do not follow the words of Jesus.

Emily you seem to be hating on Oprah instead of addresiing the real issue.If it is true that rihanna’s mother used to abuse her father it could be true that she might be violent but tht does not mean that chris should have beaten her that badly.What they both need is proffessional counselling and in the meantime let them take their time to see wetha they really need each other.

Oprah is a complete nut case.

She hasn’t heard Chris side of the story.

She doesn’t take into consideration that he has NEVER been in trouble.

She ignores that Rihanna has a violent past.

She ignores that Rihanna saw her mother severely abuse her father.

She ignores the fact that everyone has a right to defend themself.

This woman is a completely unintelligent nutcase, and I don’t know why Oprah is still on TV. Affirmative action is over. She obviously hates men and is biased towards women.

Ummm, ok I’m hearing all this about how a man should not hit a woman however, I’m not hearing that a woman shoud not hit a man. Why was it ok for her to go off and start hitting and slapping him? Shouldn’t she be seeking anger management as well? I feel they are BOTH wrong and BOTH should have kept their hands to themselves. Sure it was wrong for him to beat her like a man, but how many can say, especially at his age, that they can control their anger enough to only half azz defend themselves? You basically snap and fight. She started beating on him, he defended himself…and won. And she knows that and THAT is why she is taking him back. Either way, I love them both as artists and a couple and hope they work it out.
