The Queen of Talk Meets Carrie Bradshaw: Less than a week after the announcement that Oprah Winfrey will her scepter and crown and leave her grounbreaking daytime talk show in 2011, The Queen of Talk’s production company is developing a steamy, sex-charged pilot for HBO.

“It is literally a day at the pool, where she gets up, in sarong and flip-flops, and walks out of her life, leaving everyone behind so abruptly that her husband and kids initially think she’s been kidnapped or murdered,” Harpo Films president Kate Fort told Variety Monday.

The hour-long show, which is still-untitled, follows a Santa Monica woman who leaves her perfect nuclear family in to fulfill her secret fantasies and desires in the grimy parts of Los Angeles. The comedy is a part of a three-year development deal between HBO and Harpo inked last December.
