The Queen of Talk is being urged to join the likes of Christina Applegate, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Eva Mendes and strip down as part of PETA’s global animal rights campaign I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur. PETA nude campaign model Alicia Silverstone is nudging Oprah Winfrey to get naked for PETA.

When asked who she’d like to see join ranks with PETA, Alicia responded: “I would love to see Oprah naked-that’s a goal for me. She is a very powerful woman and would really get the message across.”

Spies for the Globe claim Oprah is worried that turning down the chance to pose for PETA will adversly affect her public image:

“She knows her image could have a big impact. If she does it, she could offend many of her fans and may even hurt the Democratic presidential campaign of Barack Obama whom she’s openly supporting….And because she’s fought a battle with her weight all her life, posing nude would let people know she’s not ashamed of her body and that other women shouldn’t be ashamed of their bodies either.”

“But if she doesn’t pose, her animal-loving friends and fans will be infuriated. She can’t win!”
