Olivia Newton-John Comic Book Sales Will Benefit Breast Cancer Research

Grease star and breast cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John is the subject of a new comic book biography that will support breast cancer awareness.

Female Force: Olivia Newton-John is slated to arrive in comic book stores and online retailers in October — just in time for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Proceeds from the sale of the illustrated memoir will benefit breast cancer research, with a portion of revenue going to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia. In addition, the nation’s leading breast cancer awareness group — Susan G. Komen for the Cure — will provide readers with a resource guide in the form of an insert inside the comic.

The graphic biography — designed by Bluewater Productions — will trace the four-time Grammy winner’s rise from obscurity in Australia to stardom to her breakthrough role alongside John Travolta in the 1978 movie musical Grease.
