Jimmy Kimmmel likes to let celebrity guests read aloud the ‘mean tweets’ that come from viewers, and when President Obama appeared on the show this week, he was invited to do the same. Obama reading mean tweets about himself will get your giggles going, but the best part is, of course, his own commentary and responses.
Watch what the POTUS has to say when Twitter users blame him for the cost of beer, accuse him of not caring about the state of the nation, and suggest he should be flown to a golf course somewhere and dumped there.
One Twitter user had made this suggestion:
Is there any way we could fly Obama to some golf course halfway around the world and just leave him there?
After reading it aloud, Obama agreed:
Well, RWSurferGirl, I think that’s a great idea.
As for the tweeter herself, her feed has, as might have been expected, gone more than a little viral. Is she worried about the consequences of her tweet?
.@BigBudLightBrad I'm waiting for the IRS to show up at my door.

Another social media follower also seems to have offered the President valuable advice that Obama is taking to heart — the mean tweet about Obama’s jeans earned the POTUS’s clear approval.
Jimmy, I think they’ve got a point.
Of course, this too was advice given from a caring and concerned place. We know this because the tweeter says so.
Sure, I mock President Obama' s jeans. But I do it because I care.

President Obama has his critics — and clearly, many of them are vocal on social media — and like any political leader (or any person), he’s not perfect. Still, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum, it would be hard not to appreciate the guy’s sense of humor.
A good leadership quality is the ability to laugh at oneself — and reading mean tweets about himself, President Obama makes it clear that, in this, he doesn’t fall short.
