Nicole Richie Obtains Restraining Order Against Child-Stalking Photographer
Former bad girl-turned-fashion designer Nicole Richie has been granted a restraining order against an agressive snapper who she accuses of stalking her young children.
The photographer, Fabricio Luis Mariotto, “drives erratically around my children and others, yells, screams and attempts to scare us so that he can photograph our reaction. He trespasses on preschool property to photograph the children,” Richie, 29, said in her petition.
“He has often left his car in the middle of a busy street just to chase me for a photograph. His predatory behaviour caused and continues to cause severe emotional distress as I fear for the safety of my children,” the mother of two continued.
Nicole’s petition also included a photograph of what appeared to show Mariotto, camera in hand, lurking around the preschool of Richie’s daughter, Harlow, 2.
The temporary restraining order will require the photographer to stay 100 yards away from Richie, Harlow, Nicole’s fiance, Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, the couple’s 14-month-old son Sparrow, and Harlow’s school.
Earlier this year, Nicole was granted a restraining order against another set of photographers — Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Miguel — after she claimed they crashed into her vehicle after constantly hounding the petite star.
