According to the Snitch Mill, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie began motherhood with a bitter catfight after giving birth on the same ward of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles over the weekend.Both were desperate for their new arrival to be the most popular with celeb pals.

Nic was instantly flooded with messages of congratulations from their famous friends, including Paris Hilton, 26. But just hours later, Nicole saw Christina– also a pal of Paris – steal her thunder.

A source at the hospital reveals to the press: “One of the new moms, I won’t say which, wanted to know who had got the most gifts, flowers and cards…and from whom.”

“A friend was sent on a spying mission. This alerted the other mom, who was also curious to know how the offerings matched up.”
