Actress Nicole Kidman was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night following a car accident on the set of her upcoming film The Invasion.

Nicole was filming a scene, on location in L.A, driving a Jaguar. Her character was trying to escape zombie-like characters hanging off the hood. The Jag was being towed by a rig in order to give the appearance that the actress was really driving.

At around 11 p.m., the stunt driver operating the rig skidded while taking a corner at approximately forty-five miles per hour. Nicole’s car to hit a poll and knock over a garbage can.

The actress and her young co-star were both strapped in to the vehicle by seat belts. Crew members wrapped a blanket around N.K and paramedics arrived to check the actress for injuries.

She was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in an SUV-she was released two hours later. N.K returned to filming later that night.

Nicole’s husband Keith Urban and son Connor Cruise were reportedly on-set during the accident.
