The former wife of Nicolas Cage has filed a $13 million lawsuit against the cash-poor actor and his business manager for allegedly ruining her plans to sell her house and leaving her with a seven-figure tax bill.
In the legal papers filed in Los Angeles Dec. 8, Christina Fulton claims Cage bought her a house in Los Angeles in 2001 in return for her giving up her acting career to take care of the couple’s son Weston, now 18.
However, when Christina attempted to sell the property earlier this year, she realized it wasn’t hers to sell – Nicolas reportedly never transferred the title. Fulton alleges that Cage served her with a 60-day notice to vacate the premises in September and blames her ex-husband’s former business manager, Sam Levin, for leaving her with a $1 million dollar tax debt on the property.
Christina is also angry Nic never made good on his promise to pay off her $250,000 credit-card debt.
Fulton alleges “mental, physical, and emotional abuse” in the suit.
