Nick Young Fires Back After Insult to Iggy Azalea
Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers shot back at ESPN anchor Robert Flores Monday after he took a jab at Iggy Azalea.
The trouble started when Flores, who was hosting a recent Sunday night edition of “ESPN Sports Center,” took the opportunity to make fun of Azalea’s recent tweets revealing that her boyfriend was scared of dolphins. Young recently claimed that a dolphin tried to drown him while he was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Flores used Young’s fear of dolphins to make fun of Azalea’s career during the show’s “What Did We Learn?” segment.
“We learned that, according to the Lakers’ Nick Young, a dolphin recently tried to kill him. So Nick, while dolphins are trying to kill you, your girlfriend’s trying to kill hip-hop. Let’s call it even, okay?”
According to ESPN, Young talked about his deadly encounter with the dolphin back in February and jokingly said the dolphin tried to drown him because it was “trying to get on Iggy,” But the 29-year-old was not in a joking mood when he went on Twitter to confront Flores about his comments toward girlfriend Iggy.
“So off the fact you that was cool to say, don’t sit right with me so we got a problem, You job is to talk about sports not what me and my chick got going on. I’m pretty sure we going to run into each other soon.” Said the ‘Fancy’ singer’s boyfriend.
Young then went on to explain his comments to his Twitter followers in a later post. “Its cool to talk about me all day any day I find with that, I can take a joke .. That what I do joke, but didn’t see the point of that.” .
