How about those Yankees? Baseball has a new world championship team. The New York Yankees finished their debut season at the Bronx’s new Yankee Stadium in style, defeating defending champions the Philadelphia Phillies for a 7-3 win in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series and capturing the 27th championship in franchise history.
