I like the new tween Dora. She looks a lot better than what she looked like before. Also, as someone else already said, she grew into her head and it’s normal. Plus, Dora has real friends, not animals. She finally has 4 girl friends and even her little brother and sister have aged as well. She is finally growing up as I’m sure many moms can relate with their own children so, leave it alone for gosh sakes and just let it happen. If you don’t like it, don’t let your kids watch it. It’s that simple!

:( NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OK SO WHY DIDN’T THEY MAKE A NEW SHOW ABOUT A TWEEN. AND REALLY 5 YEAR OLDS AND 6 YEAR OLDS LIKE THE OLD DORA. REALLY ONCE YOUR 7 THERES LOTS OF SHOWS TO WATCH. ANYONE OLDER THEN THAT WILL THINK IT LAME. ITS KINDA PRESSURING KIDS TO GROW UP.

I think she looks cute in her new outfit ish but I mean she is still a kid and she dresses like the tweens who think its cool and wanna be older. I’m a teenager and I have little sisters and cuz’s who dress like that but I can say, the dress could be a bit longer its not like she has giant boobs hanging out. But no I wouldn’t let my cousins, or kids i babysit watch this

Some of you people are idiots. You’re acting like they put her out on the street corner in the show or something. Grow a pair. Seriously. I grew up with shit like Mulan where she technically saw naked men in the bathing scene, and I turned out just fine. I played violent video games, all that crap that you blame kids turning bad over. ITS AN OUTFIT CHANGE AND SOME MAKEUP. OH NO. END OF THE WORLD HUH? Screw off with that bs. Total idiots, I swear.

And I bet ninety-nine percent of you fools posting about how slutty she is does something stupid that should more concern you when it comes to what your kids learn. Worry less about a freaking outfit change and more about what you’re teaching your kids. Its just a show. Pull your heads outta your arses. :/

WOW DORAS DOING AN NEW SHOW LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! i youst to watch dora the explorer when i was 3 but when the birthday special came on last sunday of course i had to watch it and now in my stumick butterflys are flying and bouncing all around for the new show yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lol .

wow…some of you people of here are nuts! i think that the new is a great idea…a lot of girls love dora and once they got older they were SAD that they oculdn’t watch it anymore, so yea this is a good idea…but i do think that they should also keep the old show…and as for “tween dora dresses like a slut.” who and the hell decided that? she looks like every other 9-11 year old in my whole school, leggings, a cute top, earrings, and just like the tiniest of of gloss (it’s not even noticiable)..if you think this is a slut then you wouldn’t know a real slut if she jumped into bed with you…seriously people this is a good thing, not bad…

I believe they are going the right way with Dora because it is an in between sage for kids. I believe if Nickelodeon keptmaking both Dora and older Dora i would be good because they would have attention of both age groups. The outfit is cute, it is definitely something a tween would wear, I believe 5-8 isn’t quite the age range they should be aiming for with tween Dora, more like 7-10.

I believe the problem with people who don’t like her outfit is they pay too much attention to celebrities, negative ones usually and compare negative celebrities to cartoons which are 2 different things. Tween Dora is still going to teach children just in a older fashion and more expanded learning.

I believe parents have blown this out of proportion without even experiencing what it will be like. Its called being closed minded. I’m a parent of 3 and I’m sure my kids wouldn’t mind watching it, in fact I would prefer it because little Dora can get annoying sometimes. Maybe older Dora wont be so annoying. Good luck Nickelodeon, just target market this right and it will be successfull.

And for those parents who don’t want your children watching it, dont let them wach it, its that simple. Go watch Disney, they are just as bad and degrading. Using children, making them a quadruple threat then throwing them away when they get too old.

I am surprised at how so many people are judging the new Dora based on her appearence.

So many of you parents are upset saying that they want their kids to learn the proper lessons from this show — meanwhile, it seems you’re assuming that because she is pretty and wears nice clothes that she can’t possibly teach these proper lessons?

How about we wait until the show is released? If it is educational and fun, then we can all like the new Dora. If is is shallow and trivial, then we won’t. Why base our opinions on her looks? Isn’t THAT teaching our kids that looks matter & that it is okay to make rash judgements?

My question here is – Who is giving the wrong impression? A cute and preppy cartoon character, or the moms in this chain that can’t say 2 sentences without the work “fuck” in it and are busy judging Dora’s worth based soley on her looks…

you should see the new dora website. you can dress her up and stuff. and wear makeup and clothes like no other 3 year old can wear! It’s fantastic! (*sarcasm*) i just love her mini shorts and her truckload of jewelry! You can really go exploring now, eh? such an amazing role model for toddlers!
