Quite frankly I am tired of the Pink/Carey hype. The song sucks and I thought she had matured. She is a brillint songwriter who has touched and influenced many young girls, but this is not brilliant, it is silly. I expected more from her. If I were Pink I would tell him to take a flying leap after reading the interview with People magazine. He has managed to publically keep anyone that would have been interested in dating her to shy away and this is selfish and egotitical. Using the media to communicate your feelings is so lame. Grow uo both of you and Pink write songs that are honest but helpful.

shut the fuck up you idiot
seriously, if she wasn’t awesome people wouldn’t keep buying
her music and her concerts wouldn’t keep selling out.
she’s a song writer its all about your feelings you idiot, if that’s what was on her mind let her let it out, who are you to tell her what to write, your a nobody, get a life, when your famous then you can talk
you are clearly a complete moron who has no idea what they’re talking about.
so stick to your day job

Hey, I agree. It sucks! I LOVE PINK! Cause she usually writes using more depth than most. Her songs are good cause people relate. She is intelligent, and strong. But this song just seemed childish. Hoping for better things on the rest of the album.

i love P!NK, but this is a bit self-indulgent, an album track yes, a single, no. i understand great songs can come from pain. but not this one

Pink is NOT a songwriter, for god’s sake. Don’t you get it? Max Martin wrote Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” and he also wrote Pink’s “So What”. And don’t they sound too damn similar for either song (or either artist performing his crap for that matter) to be “original” anyway? “So What” sounds like a four year old banging on pots and pans and crying in a nursery school sandbox could have written it. It’s a crime and it wouldn’t surprise me if this tune’s lyrics were first written with crayons.
Get your head out of your ass. Pink don’t write nothin’, though she might get a writing credit because she has an established brand (again, thanks to many of her corporate handlers). She follows the producer’s direction is all. Anyone who thinks she orchestrates her career is not familiar with the realities in the music biz–and those who handle Pink’s image and career thank you for being so retarded as to believe she’s “for real”. They laugh all the way to the bank at your stupidity and with your money.

This is an expression of what she feels, something deeply personal. As a musician I understand where she’s coming from, she could have hidden behind her feelings and performed other material but she’s expressing what’s going on it her life, her frustrations and pain. That’s one of the greatest priveledges of being a professional musician, you get to vent within the context of your music. All the greats expressed anger and frustration through their music. So I’m not going to put down Pink for her expression and will look forward to seeing what she does after her anger phase is over.

I see that it is very catchy, I see that it could explain her feelings at times in a fit of anger, but from all the interviews i’ve read about her…. i wouldn’t expect her to record a song like this about her situation. She’s seems to genuinely still love him and wants both of them treated right from what she said, so I guess I’m just confused as to why she would record this. Definitely not trying to be a positive role model, but it does reflect the real feelings some of us feel with that sort of situation. She just wants to show the real feelings, not the feelings people think she should show or feel. It worked… but it is depressing to see her driving down the highway drunk on a tractor waving her hands and mug at people driving by or beating on some newlywed’s car…. these songs really just make me want to cry. “so what, i’m still a rock star” really seems like “crap, being a rock star is all I have left”
