It's problem is that it (as has been demonstrated in the tactful, open-minded comments above) isn't solidly contemporary or solidly 'old-fashioned'. It's a mixture of the two, and the High, High Pop Culture doesn't want anything thought provoking. All it wants is to drown in a haze of self-worship.
