I liked it… not quite as good as Someday (I Will Understand), but it has it’s own kind of charm; rough around the edges, and very sad, kind of hypnotic. It’s problem is that it (as has been demonstrated in the tactful, open-minded comments above) isn’t solidly contemporary or solidly ‘old-fashioned’. It’s a mixture of the two, and the High, High Pop Culture doesn’t want anything thought provoking. All it wants is to drown in a haze of self-worship.
