Appointment Of New “American Idol” Judge Kara DioGuardi Threatens Paula Abdul

Is Paula Abdul leaving American Idol?

This week’s addition of a fourth American Idol judge has left the loopy Paula Abdul, a series-long Idol staple, walking on eggshells. The “Forever Your Girl” singer is convinced the introduction of 37-year-old songwriter Kara DioGuardi is show producers’ way of edging her closer to the door.

“Paula is trying to put a happy face on this situation, but she feels very threatened that a younger, internationally successful female is joining the cast of judges,” an Idol snitch dished in this week’s edition of the National Enquirer.

Kara, described as a bit of a “female Simon Cowell,” has penned tunes for pop music icons like Ashlee Simpson, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears.

“Every season, Paula hears rumors that she’s going to be booted off and replaced by a younger, hipper woman-a new face who could help the show’s sagging ratings…Now her worst nightmare has come true-and Paula is a nervous wreck.” “This new power shift is sending Paula into a tailspin.”
Paula has been frantically telling pals that it is only a matter of time before she is out of a job.

“Paula sees Kara’s introduction onto the show as the beginning of the end of her “Idol” career.”em>
