NBC Denies Britney Spears ‘Occassional Wife’ Sitcom Report

NBC is denying reports that Britney Spears has been selected for a role opposite former ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry in the Peacock’s upcoming sitcom ‘Occassional Wife.’The network has labeled the report “untrue.”
According to celebrity insider Liz Smith: Matthew is “attached” to a comedy going by the title “Occasional Wife.”
Liz also claimed that before Brit’s ‘career-ending’ 2007 MTV VMA’s performance an NBC mole reported: “there’s something about her that just connects with the audience, and they want her to succeed now in spite of her adversity.”
