Well, here’s a bit of news that likely won’t have Naya Rivera “gleefully” shouting from the rooftops: The Latin beauty has been unceremoniously dumped by her rapper fiancé Big Sean, 27, and the split’s already turning nasty.
Here’s the skinny: Early Wednesday, reports hit the Interwebs that Sean and Naya had put their romance on ice. If Star magazine snoopsters (We know, we know.) are to be believed, Naya cancelled the couple’s wedding after learning that her beau, a self professed “player,” had been cheating on her.
By afternoon, Sean’s “people” had already gone on the defense, denying the cheating accusations and painting the musician as the one who exited the ill-fated love affair. According to the hip-hopster’s rep, it was Big Sean who ended the romance.
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
Things got even nastier when Naya, 26, hit Twitter and accused the “Party” rhymer of swiping an expensive Rolex watch from her home. This, of course, is according to TMZ.
Insiders argue, however, that the watch always belonged to Sean. He bought it as a gift for himself and gave it to Naya to wear. It was never intended as a gift to her.
We’ll see how well that argument holds up in People’s Court.
The snitch site talked to tattles who say Sean actually made the decision to call of the wedding weeks ago. The lyricist confided to pals that Naya is too controlling and jealous of other women.
We hate to gossip, but that sure sounds like the Naya we know. Rewind back to 2010, when the actress/singer “allegedly” (Hint, Nudge, Wink) keyed sometime boyfriend Mark Salling’s Lexus in jealous fit. The pair were co-stars on Glee at the time and enjoyed, what those in-the-know have called, a friends with benefits kind of relationship.
