Photogs were on hand to snap some of the first shots of supermodel Naomi Campbell on the set of ABC’s award-winning dramedy Ugly Betty on Wednesday. Naomi appears as herself in the upcoming second season finale of the campy hit. The spit-slinging diva is stepping up to bat as a softball slugger for Elle Magazine, who will battle Ugly Betty’s fictional Mode Mag.

Naomi told reporters: “I was given a crash course in playing softball and at one point hit the ball so hard it actually broke in half!”

“I had a fantastic day on set, the cast and crew were lovely. The coach said he had never seen anyone pick up the game so quickly.”
