Naomi Campbell Mugged, Injured in Paris
Naomi Campbell is being treated in Colorado for injuries she suffered during a robbery in Paris last month.
The acid-tongued catwalker, 42, was knocked down and robbed as she tried to hail a taxi in the City of Lights. She suffered a torn ligament in the incident.
The New York Post broke the scoop of Naomi’s brush with terror on Friday. Law enforcement officials say the normally gabby Campbell was urged to remain mum about the robbery as the hunt continues for her assailants.
“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone. She was attacked in the street as she hailed a cab and robbed. Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up.”
Campbell is being treated by an orthopedic surgeon in Vail, Colorado for her injury. This may be Naomi’s first mugging but the ’90s supermodel is infamous for her violent outbursts.
In 2007, she was sentenced to one week of community service after she attacked her assistant with a cellphone. Three years later, a chauffeur flagged down a police officer and alerted the official that Naomi him from behind as he shuttled her around New York City. The incident caused his head to strike the steering wheel of the black Cadillac Escalade and bruised the area beneath his right eye. The fashionista fled the scene on foot.
