Nadya Suleman Angels In Waiting In-Home Care For 14 Children
Octomom Nadya Suleman has accepted an offer of in-home care for her 14 children.
On Monday, television therapist Dr. Phil, who has been working closely with Nadya, announced that the serial mom will appear in a special taping of The Dr. Phil Show, where she will accept an offer of free nurses care for her brood from the folks at Angels In Waiting.
Nadya turned down Angels in Waiting first offer of help two weeks ago.
The agency, who estimate that it will cost $135,000 to care for the octuplets, will provide around-the-clock services from intensive care nurses who specialize in premature infant developmental care. The Suleman kids will also receive psychological and physical therapy.
“Nadya realized that she had to make every effort to care for the octuplets as well as the 6 children at home in a way that proved that she understood the enormity and complexity of the task ahead,” Dr. Phil said in a statement Monday. “The plan in place, which could not have happened without attorney Gloria Allred and Angels in Waiting, affords all of the Suleman children a chance to grow and thrive. The childcare will be completely transparent, so that Kaiser Permanente and Child Protective Services will see that Nadya is seriously committed to her family.”
“I am delighted that Nadya understood that the offer from Angels in Waiting was made in the best interest of the children,” says Allred, who first brought Angels In Waiting to Nadya’s attention.
The details of the agreement will be revealed in two parts airing Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11.
Nadya Suleman is currently unemployed, receives food stamps ,and supports her children with disability payments.
