The next big hit will certainly arise from MySpace. Ok, maybe not. But let’s say it did. This bad-ass band has as good a chance as anyone else. They have some groovy music on their profile.

French for ‘butterfly,’ the indie band Papillon produces music that exudes a similar quality to that of their namesake. This five person band, now based in Los Angeles, have a sound that features pop lyrics (in both English and French) laced over a backdrop that has a strong electronic/dub influence, albeit with traditional guitars and drums mixed in as well. It all comes together wonderfully and it’s not hard to see why the band is performing up and down the West Coast and have worked with world reknown engineers/producers for their upcoming album. 3 of the 4 tracks on their MySpace profile are available for download.
