Seventy-one year old Oscar winner Morgan Freeman and his wife Myrna, 67, are divorcing after 24 years of marriage.
Myrna, a costumer, consulted a divorce attorney after hearing the cheated on her with a close family friend, a new tabloid item claims.
The actor’s Mississippi-based attorney and business partner Bill Luckett confirms the pair “are involved in a divorce action.” The couple have been separated since December 2007.
“Myrna was terribly upset when she heard Morgan had become intimate with a woman who had been her friend,” an inside source babbled to the National Enquirer.
The Wanted star was involved in a serious car accident over the weekend, in which the Nissan Maxima he was driving flipped over several times. He was traveling with a female passenger identified as Demaris Meyer.
