Whitney Port is bringing The Hills to the Big Apple. Shooting started on Whitney Port’s new MTV unscripted series on August 27.

The 23-year-old Lauren Conrad comrade is filming a reality show of her own after leaving her gig with People’s Revolution in the dust for a new career with legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg.

Whit is ready to offer up her own brand of Heidi/LC-inspired drama with new frenemy Samantha “Sami” Swetra, who is scheduled to co-star on the show.

“Sami’s the perfect foil to Whitney’s good girl image,” an In Touch insider says of the 22-year-old Bergdorf Goodman store manager. “She’s sure to bring a ton of drama. Her circle of friends are a whole different breed-very high-fashion-not beauty like the girls of The Hills.”

The Hills’ New York City-based spinoff will premiere on MTV later this year.
