James Franco, we have one thing to say: “You betta work!”
The Pineapple Express actor – who is no stranger to LGBT roles — with gay-friendly performances in films such as Howl and Milk – – is featured on the Fall/Winter 2010-11 cover of Candy Magazine’s all dressed up in drag.
Featuring snaps by famed photog Terry Richardson, Candy is “the first fashion magazine ever completely dedicated to celebrating transvestism, transexuality, cross dressing and androgyny, in all its manifestations.”
In October, the actor told The Advocate that he’s tired of playing typical straight roles on the big screen.
“In this history of cinema, there are so many heterosexual love stories. It’s so hammered, so done. It’s just not that interesting to me. It’s more interesting to me to play roles and relationships that haven’t been portrayed as often.”
James’ limited-edition Candy cameo (there are only 1,000 copies available) arrives on newsstands Oct. 24.
