Even Prince Harry was in attendance, as the Beach Volleyball final was one of the hottest tickets of the Olympics. “I really think it’s something that can’t be done again,” May-Treanor said about a three-peat. “And that’s why it’s so special.” Not only have Misty and Kerri survived a partnership for 12 years, they have inspired a new generation to take up beach volleyball, raising interest and awareness about the sport by miles over the last decade.
“You got to start really young to do three Olympics and (win every time),” Jen Kessy said last night after earning the Silver Medal. “I don’t think there’s going to be another team like Kerri and Misty.
