Mischa Barton isn’t a fan of marriage.

The single star, who recently split from The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard, believes holy matrimony places too much pressure on couples; and that’s exactly why the 23-year-old plans to stay unattached for as long as possible.

“I just think people try harder until they’re married,” Mischa says in a new interview with OK!. “You see a lot of relationships fall apart because it’s the last step. There’s nothing left and a lot of dudes freak out and the women become bitchier. I see it to be bad for relationships.”

The former OC star believes she’ll only tie the knot after she’s had children.

“Whoever is going to be the father of my children, I’ll probably inevitably marry. But that’s not on the cards anytime soon.”
