Mischa Barton, the one-time star of The O.C who was recently slammed with multiple criminal charges stemming from a January 2008 DUI arrest, has been offered a recurring role on The CW hit Gossip Girl. Producers of the teen drama were interested in casting Mischa in the role of “Georgina Sparks,” a scheming drama queen, but a rep for the star claims that she has turned the role down: “She will not be on the show. She was approached, but her reps passed.” Can she really afford to turn down job offers? Life as a KEDS spokesmodel can’t be that exciting, or lucrative for that matter.
