Troubled star Mischa Barton has turned her back on the booze.

Well — this is the best thing to happen to the UK-born actress’ career since she was released from the Looney Bin last summer.

Barton is as well known for being a boozehound as her OC alter ego Marissa — she was even arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2007. Now 24, the reformed wildchild says she’s given up drinking in favor of a more healthy lifestyle; although we think her latest penis supplier may have something to do with Mischa’s sudden love of the sober life.

“I’m being healthy and working hard. I have had lots of offers coming in and as well as reading through scripts, I’m also designing my own range of bags,” says the former child star, who is rumored to be dating British DJ Ali Love. “I’m avoiding drinking, which is a shame as there’s nothing better than a glass of delicious English Pimm’s.”

Maybe Mischa and Lindsay should get together for a little alcohol-free rehab therapy once LiLo gets out of the chokey.
