Has this Victoria’s Secret Angel had her wings clipped?
Supermodel Miranda Kerr, 30, is reportedly being let go from the iconic lingerie company because she “has a difficult reputation” and is “not a big seller for VS,” especially in comparison to colleagues like Alessandra Ambrosio or Candice Swanepoel. Kerr, who has a two-year-old son with actor Orlando Bloom, had a three-year, $1 million contract with the brand that has not been renewed, Us Weekly said Wednesday.
“They can still use her for catalogue, where she will get a day rate, but she doesn’t have to be an Angel to do that.”
The Australian catwalker will reportedly still appear on the pages of the Victoria’s Secret catalogue. Ed Razek, the lingerie company’s chief marketing officer, told Us that Kerr’s already been invited to appear in the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Angels Fashion Show.
“We have no plans to stop working with her.”
It’s been a tough month for Miranda. The model is still on the mend after a car collided with hers on a Los Angeles freeway last month. Kerr wasn’t seriously injured in the incident but was later spotted wearing a neck brace.
