Miley Cyrus Name Change: Miley Cyrus Legal Name Change From Destiny Hope Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has officially made her childhood nickname her legal moniker. The fifteen year old Hannah Montana, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, is now Miley Ray Cyrus.
Miley tells Entertainment Tonight that she was called “Smiley,” which transformed into “Miley,” by family and friends, so she wanted the now infamous name to be her legal one. She selected “Ray” as her middle name because she wanted the same one as her country singing pop, Billy Ray Cyrus.
