Miley Cyrus “Footloose”? Miley Cyrus Courted For Role Of Ariel Moore “Footloose” Remake

It appears everyone in Young Hollywood wants to cut Footloose.

Add Disney’s Miley Cyrus to the list of bubbly beauties — including Amanda Bynes and Julianne Hough — up for the role of preacher’s daughter Ariel Moore in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming remake of its 1984 hit Footloose.

“They’ve expressed interest in Miley for the part,” a source close to the Hannah Montana starlet revealed to E! on Tuesday.

A insider close to the production added that Miley “is definitely in the mix.” In the event that Miley lands the role of Ariel, she would be playing the love interest of Gossip Girl Chace Crawford or Dancing With The Stars ace Derek Hough, who are in a neck and neck race to play Ren.

Footloose will shimmy and shake its way into theaters in June 2010.

i think amanda bynes should gett the role of ariel she could act serious if she wants to. plus miley is 16 and everything she freakin wants…which is not fair. plus i know the role Ren is going to derick hough cuz he can dance and sing and he looks like a dude from the 80s. i love him <3 i like miley but she always gets what she wants and….she sounds likea dood. plus she will be playing a girl who is sexually active which will not be good for her fanbase or the kids ((mommy i wanna go see miley in footlosse……haha mommy what did she just do)). and if they cut out that or any “”inapropriate stuff” if and wen she gets casted footloose won’t be a good movie.

I think Miley SHOULD get the part. She is a sweet girl and all the HATERS should shut up. Even if there ARE sexually related scenes, she could do it. If a parent allows their children to watch those types of movies it is THE PARENTS FAULT that the image of Miley is ruined not the film. Footloose is an intense acting/dancing/singing movie. She cant do it. I just dont see her playing a serious role. And a lot of kids look up to her, and I dont think they should be looking up to that.
