Miley Cyrus Denies She’s Ready to Take Beyonce’s Pop Crown

The Queen of Twerking is crying foul over a foreign tabloid report which claimed she made some rather, er, unflattering remarks about Queen Bey.

A Miley Cyrus interview with Love magazine has a lot of folks talking. That is if they can pick their jaw up off the floor. The magazine published some quotes that seemed to feature the Bangerz star throwing shade at Beyonce’s diminishing relevance.

Love quotes Miley, 21, as saying:

“Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she’s been out for such a long time. She’s so talented and I think she’s at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that’s what I bring to the game now, new blood. I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I’m just the best.”

According to the publication, Miley also allegedly weighed the impact giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy has had on Beyonce’s career.

“As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now. I’m the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right, you know? I’m just the total package, you know? All things must start and end and I hope to have the same success as other icons in the game when my run is over. But for now, my run is just starting.”

Pretty scandalous stuff, huh? Just one problem: Miley says allegations that she dissed Bey are BS. In fact, Cyrus is adamant that the quotes are a total fabrication. And that’s precisely why she demanded a retraction in an angry outburst on Twitter this afternoon.

“How are people allowed to make up sh*t & then out quotes around it saying I said that sh*t! WTF!!?! don’t worry. getting 2 the bottom of this. making the liar retract the statement. U can cause ALOT of drama but NOT between me & B!”

Oh! In case you were wondering, Bey continued her chart reign this week as her surprise visual album, Beyonce, landed atop the Billboard 200 for the third straight week. The disc has sold a grand total of 1.3 million sales within two weeks of release.
