Miley Cyrus Defends Closeness With Dad Billy Ray Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has defended the relationship she enjoys with her father, country star Billy Ray Cyrus— insisting the closeness between the two of them is completely normal.
The father-daughter duo, who co-star on the hit Disney series Hannah Montana, posed for a series of provocative in Vanity Fair last year. One image featured Miley reclining against her fatheras he puts his arm around her shoulder.
In her new memoir, Miles To Go, the 16-year-old star hits back, writing:
“The media has said some stuff about my dad and me being too close and too cuddly for a father and a daughter. For me and my dad it’s not weird at all. We don’t let other people tell us what expressions we’re supposed to have on our faces when we take a picture together!”
