Michelle Williams has issued a statement on the death of her former fiance, Heath Ledger, through her publicist.

“Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken.”

Early Friday, the former Dawson’s Creek star requested that her cover of the April 2008 be pulled following Heath’s death.
