Michelle Obama Vogue March 2009 Cover Photo Revealed
On Tuesday, we passed along the tidbit that First Lady Michelle Obama would cover the March 2009 issue Vogue–and as promised here she is.
What are our thoughts on this cover?
Mrs. O is only the second First Lady to front an issue of The Fashion Bible–Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the first to do so back in December 1998.
Michelle Obama on the March 2009 cover of Vogue arrives on newsstands on Feb. 17.

Come on Vogue, give us a break. If she wasn’t the first lady, she’d have to buy ad space to get displayed in your magazine. She’s not exactly your normal svelte, elegant cover model. Looks like a suck-up cover to me, the same as they did with Hillary. It appears Vogue has caught the “Time Magazine” cover syndrome. At least the cover dress didn’t look like an old prom dress made out of a bedspread.

My first thought when I looked at Michelle’s picture on your cover was “My God, she is beautiful!!”. I couldn’t stop looking at her picture with my mouth open for at least five minutes. Kudos to the photographer and your magazine. Mrs. O has a lot of class and so does Vogue magazine. I’m so glad it was captured.

Thank you for the photos of Michelle Obama. The decision to have the Firs Lady of the United States of America shows that you do not have to be a “Supermodel” scantily clad to sell magazines. Of course we want to see Michelle Obama; if she were not the First Lady, she is just another American citizen and she looks it ( I mean that in a great way) She is beautiful.
Thank you!
