First Lady Michelle Obama will cover the March 2009 issue of Vogue Magazine, USA TODAY revealed on Tuesday.

Celebrated celebrity shutterbug Annie Leibovitz photographed Mrs. Obama, who wore a magenta silk dress by inaugural gown designer Jason Wu, for the issue, which hits newsstands in New York and Los Angeles Feb. 17.

“First and foremost, I wear what I love,” the First Lady says in her Vogue cover story. “If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion.”
