I dont think this is such a big of a deal. However, you guys have to remember that it was the government that made these people turn to food banks and to strive off of charity and when the first lady wears $540 dollar shoes it would be kind of a shame. I still think that she should have put on whatever she likes, the fact that she is doing charity work is great.

I think her sneakers are great. I bet she had the sneakers before she was first lady. I want to get my self a pair. she looks great in them and she can afford them . Go girl you look great.

After all she is our First Lady. What do you want her to wear? Faded sneakers with holes them. And I would not be surprised if they were a gift to her. I am very proud of our First Lady.

First Lady Obama was wear whatever she wants to wear. How do we know the sneakers were a gift to her? No one knows the complete details regarding the sneakers, so lets stop being so judgemental. The most important thing here is “she was helping the homeless”. What are you doing for the homeless or any charity! We should be thanking GOD we are not homeless and we should be helping the less fortunate.

Its callous of her – if she really cared about these people she would sell the shoes and give them the money. The rich and powerful, male or female, black or white, once they get to the top of that ladder 99% of them don’t give a damn about the rest of the world.

I’m pretty sure there is no reason to care what someone wears to go do CHARITY WORK. Its not like she should dress down for the poor people or worse, like she was saying “Hey check out these sweet shoes!”

Mrs. Obama was well able to afford those shoes, before President Obama’s election and win. I don’t really think it matters what she wears, as long as she gives back.. It doesn’t take away from the good she does… She likes expensive shoes..and if she can afford them…what the hell!

Why are we criticizing someone for doing charity work? I don’t care if she wears a silk gown and pearls – she is investing her time into helping others. And, so long as tax payer dollars did not pay for them – who cares?
