It may have been upstaged by her rousing speech, but the pink toile and blue-gray dress First Lady Michelle Obama wore as she addressed a packed house at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday is getting just as much praise the morning after.
Mrs. O hit the stage in Charlotte in a custom-made Tracy Reese printed frock with pink pumps reportedly from J.Crew. The look was topped off by her famously well-sculpted biceps.
“Thanks everyone for sharing this amazing moment,” Reese tweeted as news that she was the designer behind the frock spread around the web. “We are all so grateful and honored to have dressed Mrs. Obama for such a momentous speech!!”
This isn’t the first time the First Lady has sported a Tracy Reese number. She wore a pink lace dress by the designer for her February 2009 appearance on the cover of People magazine.
