Michael “The Ram” Sam Makes History As NFL’s First Openly Gay Player

Meet Sam the Ram: Michael Sam, the University of Missouri’s award-winning defensive end, made headlines in February when he announced that he is gay. Now, Sam, 24, is making history after becoming the first openly gay football player drafted into the NFL.
