The Apple don’t fall too far from the Psycho….Olympic golden-boy-turned-baddie Michael Phelps narrowly escaped a sinister plot to have him to father a cash cow love child with “Biblically-Correct” former pageant queen Carrie Prejean.

Carrie met the strapping 6′4″ athlete at a party in Las Vegas in August 2008, shortly after Phelps won a record nine gold medals at the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The bizarre baby plan was cooked up by Carrie’s equally-deranged mother, Francine, who urged the ex-Miss California and Miss USA runner-up to get knocked up by the pot-puffin’ Phelps. Motivated by Michael’s millions, Francine allegedly tried convincing her stunning 22-year-old daughter that if she became pregnant and slammed the nine-time gold medalist with a massive paternity suit, their family would be able to continously tap into the money the champion swimmer earns in endorsements.

“She had said to Carrie that she thought she should get pregnant by Michael Phelps — that she’d be set for life,” Francine’s friend Valerie Vetrano revealed in an interview with RadarOnline last week.

Carrie’s response to the suggestion? An frustrated: “Oh, mom….”
