Just when you thought we’d given you the last scoop of poop in the saga of Beauty vs. Blogger, Miss California’s life went and got a bit more interesting.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that Miss California Carrie Prejean –the conservative Christian who condemned gay marriage at Sunday’s Miss USA pageant– has been “casually dating” confessed reefer smoker Michael Phelps.

Somehow dating someone who was publicly outed breaking the law just doesn’t strike us as very Christ-like, Carrie.

“Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch,” blabs Carrie’s loose-lipped granny, Jeanette Coppolla. “He always calls her when he is in town and they go out.”

“He always calls her when he is in town?” Hell, that sounds like a booty call!

But Grandma Jeanette was quick to caution that any romance between the Olympic champion and the leggy beauty queen is not a steady thing; particularly given Michael’s propensity for bouncing around from girl to girl. Phelps, 23, was romantically linked to Las Vegas cocktail waitress Caz Paz as recently as last month.

“Carrie knows that he has dated a lot of girls but she enjoys going out with him and isn’t serious about being in a relationship with him. He’s a nice guy and she likes him.”

Earlier in the week, Access Hollywood correspondent Billy Bush quizzed Carrie on the nature of her relationship with Phelps. “That’s not appropriate to answer right now. He’s a great man…You can call me on a later day and we can talk about that,” the 21-year-old replied coyly.

She was asked for an opinion. She offered an opinion. I think her view is wrong, but she is entitled to her opinion.

As to Miss California going out to dinner with Michael Phelps, big deal. Christians are real people, too. Sometimes women have friends who are men. This has nothing to do with morality but everything to do with those who hate Christians and Christian morals doing everything they can to smear and bash Christians. It sounds to me like Prejean regrets these pictures. Yes, Virginia, there is an Anti-Christ and many followers.
