Who says money can’t buy you love? After offering Los Angeles waiter Michael Marchand $25,000 to be her boyfriend, Britney Spears has secured the blessing of Mike’s mom, Pamela.

Pamela gave the relationship a thumbs up in an interview with Star Magazine:

“Michael and Britney enjoy each other’s company,” the twenty-nine year old’s mom told the weekly snitch mag in a phone conference from her New Hampshire home.

Pamela describes Britney’s relationship with her son as “just friends.”

“They like watching videos together and playing Scrabble. Britney also enjoys spending time at the restaurant (Mirabelle) where Michael works.”

“My son has a big heart. He’s college educated and a very bright young man.”
