Michael Lohan Arrested After Violating Restraining Order
Michael Lohan, the estranged father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been arrested for violating a restraining order and allegedly for trying to call his ex.
Police in Suffolk County, New York arrested Lohan Monday and charged the 49-year-old “minister” with second-degree contempt of court, a misdemeanor, Newsday confirmed. Law enforcement sources said Lohan was arrested after trying to call his ex-girlfriend, Erin Muller — in violation of a standing court order.
Last June, a Long Island judge set aside a misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment charge against Lohan for allegedly threatening to kill Muller and himself, but ordered the ex-con to be on his best behavior.
Lohan has denied the latest reports about his arrest.
“I was not arrested,” he told RadarOnline. “Erin and I had an argument. She has an ongoing order of protection against me. She called and said I violated it by making a phone call to her. I went down there today and saw the judge and I handled it and that was it.”
